「第28屆醫療奉獻獎」 感謝為臺灣醫療的付出

蔡英文總統今日接見「第28屆醫療奉獻獎」得獎人時表示，政府會持續提升臺灣的醫療環境，也盼透過得獎人的故事，鼓勵更多人一起加入守護民眾健康的行列。
蔡總統致詞時表示，明天就是「第28屆醫療奉獻獎」的頒獎典禮，她很高興能夠當面向各位得獎人表達恭賀之意，也代表政府對他們的貢獻，表達最深的敬意和感謝。在場得獎人都是醫界的典範，此次獲得個人特殊貢獻獎的陳寶輝醫師，擔任過臺北市衛生局長，他為臺灣從日本引進胃纖維內視鏡技術，在肝膽腸胃預防醫學領域有許多貢獻，可說是實至名歸。
蔡總統提到，這次有好幾位得獎人是八、九十歲的資深醫師，大家數十年如一日，為臺灣醫療不斷付出。像是近百歲的楊思標醫師，被稱為「臺灣胸腔X光判讀之父」，他將畢生積蓄捐給醫院，也持續到醫院教學。
蔡總統說，相信大家都還記得，1979年的忠仁忠義連體嬰分割手術。弟弟忠義前年已經當爸爸，還是一對龍鳳胎。當年，臺大醫院創下世界紀錄，院長是楊思標醫師；而決定分割位置的關鍵人物，就是今天在場的陳明庭醫師，陳醫師後來也為臺灣整形外科建立專科醫師訓練制度。
蔡總統也特別感謝在偏鄉醫療付出心力的幾位醫師，謝春梅醫師在苗栗公館小鎮，行醫73年，鄰近5、6個鄉鎮的民眾都受到他的照顧。許志新醫師在66歲退休後，投入偏鄉醫療15年，一直守護著恆春半島民眾的健康。在金門縣烈嶼鄉衛生所，也有林德明先生協助駐點醫師，提升醫療服務，為鄉親處理各種疑難雜症。
蔡總統也提到，陳誠仁醫師過去擔任嘉義基督教醫院院長，18年來，除了建構癌症治療中心全人照護體系，更把院內服務拓展到社區長照和山地醫療。而臺大雲林分院的葉寶專醫師多年來深入社區，發掘從未被診治的精神病人，也因為有葉醫師的努力，大雲林的精神醫療網愈來愈健全。
蔡總統說，在八八風災時，第一位搭直升機進入災區救援的醫師，就是在場的盧克凡醫師。盧醫師回到家鄉，在臺東縣大武鄉衛生所服務已經10年，是南迴緊急醫療中心的重要推手。
蔡總統指出，今天團體醫療奉獻獎的代表，是埔里基督教醫院的黃敏生董事長和蘇世強院長。埔基山地醫療團隊除了開設基督教山地中心診所超過60年，照顧原住民朋友的健康，並且創設護理學校，培育原住民護理人才。她非常高興能夠透過這個獎項，給予他們最大的肯定。
蔡總統感謝「醫療奉獻獎」各個主辦單位，讓社會大眾有機會認識和感謝這些深具貢獻的人士，並強調政府會持續和大家一起努力提升臺灣的醫療環境，也期待透過各位的故事，鼓勵更多人一起加入守護民眾健康的行列。
